New pill targets hidden hormone havoc from adrenal tumors

NCT ID NCT05436639

Summary

This study tested whether a daily pill called SPI-62 could help control the health problems caused by too much cortisol from a benign adrenal tumor. It involved 30 adults who had both high cortisol and related issues like high blood sugar, high cholesterol, or bone thinning. Researchers gave everyone the same dose and tracked changes in blood sugar control and other health markers over time.
