New heart catheter aims to stop dangerous rhythm without lifelong drugs

Summary
This study tests a new device called the Sphere-9 catheter and Affera ablation system to treat ventricular tachycardia (VT), a fast heart rhythm that can be life-threatening. About 60 adults with VT caused by heart scarring will receive this procedure. The goal is to safely stop the abnormal rhythm and prevent it from coming back, potentially reducing the need for long-term medication.
