NCT ID NCT06831396

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether showing children a real-time ultrasound image of their tongue movements helps them learn to pronounce difficult sounds more accurately. Sixty children with speech sound disorders (who have trouble with certain tongue sounds) will be randomly assigned to receive the ultrasound-guided therapy right away or after a 4-week wait. The goal is to see if this visual feedback improves speech clarity and communication with family, friends, and teachers.
