The hidden aftermath of a 'Mini-Stroke': study probes lingering speech issues

NCT ID NCT07206433

Summary

This study aims to discover if people have subtle, lasting problems with speaking or lose confidence in their communication after a 'mini-stroke' (TIA), even when they seem to have fully recovered. Researchers will compare 30 people who recently had a first TIA with 60 people who have not, using speaking tasks and questionnaires over three months. The goal is to gather new knowledge that could improve future care and support for people after a TIA.
