First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study will test a new prototype device that measures brain responses to speech sounds in infants. Researchers want to see if the device can detect differences between babies with normal hearing and those with hearing loss, both with and without hearing aids. Twenty infants aged 3 to 24 months will participate, including those with normal hearing and those already using hearing aids. The goal is to improve how hearing loss is assessed in very young children.
