Scientists track how autism affects speech development in young children

NCT ID NCT07472829

Summary

This study aims to understand how speech develops in young Mandarin-speaking children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) compared to typically developing children. Researchers will follow 120 children aged 18-60 months for one year, measuring their language skills and brain activity during speech tasks. The goal is to create models that can help identify speech challenges earlier and predict future development for children with ASD.
