NCT ID NCT05650190
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at how well children with nearsightedness (myopia) see when wearing special glasses. The 51 participants are already part of a larger study on myopia progression. Researchers will measure reading speed and vision in different lighting to see how the lenses perform.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Novel spectacle lens design
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help refine lens designs to better manage myopia progression in children.
What could go wrong
This is a small, non-dispensing study focused on visual performance, not on slowing myopia. Results may not translate to real-world benefits.
