New electrical stimulation method tested for stronger legs in nerve injury patients
NCT ID NCT06421753
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether a new way of delivering electrical stimulation to leg muscles works better than the standard method. Ten adults with upper motor neuron conditions (like from stroke or spinal cord injury) took part. They used a special exercise bike that measured their leg power while receiving both types of stimulation. The goal was to see which method produced more muscle force and was more comfortable.
