Special headphones and music aim to soothe sound sensitivity in kids with autism

NCT ID NCT05009095

Summary

This study tested a 40-week at-home music program using special bone-conduction headphones. The goal was to see if it could help children with autism who are very sensitive to sounds, by reducing their stress reactions and improving their daily living skills. Eight children, aged 5 to 10, participated in the program, and their skills were measured before, right after, and three months after finishing.
