New hope for Tough-to-Treat Heart-Lung condition

NCT ID NCT07356778

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a medication called sotatercept to standard treatments helps adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) caused by unrepaired congenital heart defects, including Eisenmenger syndrome. About 36 adults in Japan whose PAH hasn't improved enough with current medications will be randomly assigned to receive either sotatercept plus standard care or standard care alone for 24 weeks. The main goal is to see if the added medication improves how far participants can walk in 6 minutes and other measures of heart and lung health.
