First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a steroid gel (betamethasone) or a numbing gel (lidocaine) works better to prevent sore throat in adults who have a breathing tube during surgery. Sixty patients will be checked for sore throat 6 and 24 hours after their operation. The goal is to find a simple way to reduce discomfort after anesthesia.
