NCT ID NCT00265798
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested the drug sorafenib in 38 people with advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) that had stopped responding to two standard treatments, imatinib and sunitinib. Sorafenib works by blocking enzymes that help tumor cells grow and by cutting off blood supply to the tumor. The main goal was to see if the drug could shrink tumors or slow disease progression.
