New hope for liver cancer patients who have run out of options

NCT ID NCT05117957

Summary

This study tested whether the drug sorafenib could help control advanced liver cancer in patients whose disease had worsened after at least one prior treatment. Fifty participants took a daily pill and were monitored to see if the cancer stopped growing and how long they lived. The main goals were to measure how long the treatment kept the cancer from getting worse and to check for side effects.
