First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested two different sonic toothbrushes against a regular manual toothbrush to see which one removes surface stains from teeth best. 129 adults brushed with one of the three brushes for 8 weeks. Researchers measured stain levels on front teeth at 4 and 8 weeks using a special scoring system. The goal was to find out if the sonic brushes lead to noticeably cleaner, less stained teeth.
