Can a simple calf exercise help manage blood sugar?
NCT ID NCT06427616
Summary
This study aimed to understand how two different ways of doing a specific calf muscle exercise, called a soleus pushup, affect blood sugar levels right after the exercise. Researchers compared a short, moderate-intensity version to a longer, sustained version in 51 healthy young adults. The goal was to see if the shorter exercise could produce similar or better results for blood sugar regulation.
