New stent aims to keep lifesaving dialysis ports flowing
NCT ID NCT06096142
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the Solaris DE Endoprosthesis, which is a small mesh tube (stent). It is designed to treat narrowed or blocked veins in the arm that are used for dialysis in people with kidney failure. Researchers will compare this new stent to the current standard treatment (balloon angioplasty) to see if it keeps the dialysis access site working properly for a longer time without needing another procedure.
