Summary
This study tested whether a drug called sodium oxybate can ease voice symptoms in people with spasmodic dysphonia (a voice muscle spasm disorder) and voice tremor. 117 adults took either the drug or a placebo, and researchers measured changes in voice severity using scales and brain scans. The goal was to see if the drug works better than placebo for these conditions.
