Can a pinch of salt help tiny babies grow?

NCT ID NCT07350135

Summary

This study is testing whether giving sodium (salt) supplements to premature babies starting after their first week of life helps them gain weight better. It involves 74 very small, premature infants. Researchers will carefully monitor the babies' weight, blood salt levels, and overall health for six weeks to see if the extra sodium is safe and supports growth.
