Is your soy sauce hurting your heart? new study aims to rank salt risks
NCT ID NCT07397754
Summary
This study aims to create a new ranking system, like a 'glycemic index' for salt, to show how different salty condiments (like soy sauce and fermented bean paste) might affect heart and blood vessel health. Researchers will compare these to regular table salt by having participants eat meals prepared with them and then measuring blood pressure and blood vessel function. The goal is to provide better public health advice about which salty foods might be riskier for heart health.
