Tooth graft boosts implant success in new study
NCT ID NCT06043037
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to place dental implants in the front upper jaw. It compared the standard socket shield technique alone versus combining it with a graft made from the patient's own extracted tooth. Fifty adults aged 20-45 with a tooth that needed removal took part. The goal was to see which method better preserved the bone and gum around the new implant.
