New study tests better ways to save jawbone after tooth removal

Summary

This study compares two techniques for preserving the jawbone after a tooth is pulled. Thirty adults with a small hole in the front of the socket will receive either a 'socket-plug' or 'ice cream cone' method using bone-like material. The goal is to see which better maintains bone shape for future dental implants.
