First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how a person's social and economic situation affects their health when they are admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers followed 1,417 patients in France to see if those with fewer resources had more severe illness at admission and worse outcomes, including death and post-traumatic stress. The goal is to use this information to create better support for vulnerable patients.
