Could a social worker in the fracture clinic speed your recovery?

NCT ID NCT06973655

Summary

This study is testing whether having a social worker available in bone fracture clinics helps people recover better after surgery. It will involve 2,000 adults who recently had surgery for a broken arm or leg. The main goal is to see if this extra support reduces trips to the emergency room and helps with mental health, financial stress, and pain management during the year-long recovery.
