Summary
This study is testing if a simple, visual story guide can help children with autism feel less anxious and be more cooperative when they need anesthesia for surgery. Researchers will compare children who review these 'Social Stories' with their families before surgery to those who get standard information. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug way to make hospital visits easier and safer for these children.
