Can a secret facebook group break the tanning habit?

NCT ID NCT03441321

Summary

This study tested whether a special Facebook group could help reduce tanning behavior in young women at high risk for skin cancer. 407 participants who tanned frequently were randomly assigned to either a group focused on avoiding tanning and promoting healthy lifestyles, or a control group discussing other health topics. Researchers measured if the tanning-focused Facebook content led to fewer tanning sessions over 8 months compared to the control.
