Instagram to the rescue? new program aims to curb youth opioid misuse
NCT ID NCT06469749
Summary
This study is testing a new program delivered on Instagram to help young adults reduce their non-medical use of prescription painkillers. Over 12 weeks, 70 participants will either join the program, where they are paired with a peer leader for interactive sessions, or be in a control group that does not receive the program. The main goal is to see if this social media approach is practical, acceptable, and shows early signs of helping participants manage their opioid use.
