Which workout makes better soccer players? science tests two methods

NCT ID NCT05534191

Summary

This study aimed to find out whether functional strength training or traditional weight training works better for improving soccer skills during the off-season. Researchers tested 53 trained male soccer players aged 16-20 in Norway over 8 weeks, comparing two training groups and a control group. They measured passing, shooting, dribbling, speed, jumping, and balance to see which approach gave players the biggest performance boost.
