Elite soccer study questions if One-Size-Fits-All GPS data misses the mark
NCT ID NCT07321496
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether GPS data from soccer matches should be adjusted for each player's personal fitness level. Currently, most research uses the same fixed numbers for everyone, which might not show how hard a player is really working. The researchers will compare normal and adjusted data from 50 top-level soccer players to see which method better captures the most intense moments of a game.
