Can a simple text stop your next broken bone?
NCT ID NCT01915745
Summary
This study tested whether sending text message reminders could help patients get important follow-up care after breaking a bone. Researchers enrolled 97 adults over 50 who came to the emergency room with a low-trauma fracture. One group received standard advice, while another got automated text reminders to schedule a bone density scan, which is a key step to prevent future fractures.
