Smokers' saliva under the microscope: does it harm teeth?

NCT ID NCT04208802

Summary

This study aimed to find out if smoking changes what's in a person's saliva and if that makes their teeth more likely to wear down from acid. Fifty healthy volunteers wore a special mouthpiece with tooth samples to collect saliva data. Researchers then measured how much the samples dissolved in acid and analyzed the saliva's properties.
