Summary

This study looks at whether varenicline (a pill) or the nicotine patch works better for smokers based on how sensitive they are to rewards. About 204 adults who smoke at least 5 cigarettes a day will get behavioral counseling plus one of the treatments. The goal is to see who stays smoke-free for the last 4 weeks of treatment.
