First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining graphic health warnings with personalized advice from pharmacists helps people quit smoking and prevent diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes. About 3,400 adult smokers in Bangladesh and Pakistan will be split into three groups: some get only warning booklets, some get booklets plus counseling, and some get usual care. The goal is to see which approach works best and is most cost-effective.
