Do tiny bumps on your teeth make your smile more attractive? study asks dentists and public

NCT ID NCT07379671

Summary

This study aimed to understand if small, natural-looking bumps (called mamelons) on the edges of front teeth affect how attractive a smile appears. Researchers digitally altered photos of a smile to create different versions with these bumps and asked 135 people—including dentists, dental specialists, and the general public—to rate them online. The goal was to gather knowledge to help dentists design more natural-looking tooth restorations.
