First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at how a person's sense of smell changes after endoscopic endonasal surgery to remove skull base problems like tumors or fractures. Researchers tested smell using a simple identification test and questionnaires before and after surgery. The goal was to find ways to perform the surgery while protecting the sense of smell. The study enrolled 50 adults but was ended early.
