Your smartwatch as a hospital monitor? study puts it to the test
NCT ID NCT07360678
Summary
This study is checking if a consumer Garmin smartwatch can measure vital signs like heart rate, breathing rate, and blood oxygen as accurately as a high-end hospital monitor. Researchers will compare the two devices on 30 hospitalized adults over 24 hours. The goal is to see if affordable smartwatches could be reliable enough for doctors to use in remote patient monitoring or managing chronic conditions from home.
