Your watch as a Pre-Op nurse? study tests smartwatch accuracy before surgery
NCT ID NCT07322523
Summary
This study aims to see if data from Samsung smartwatches—like heart rate, blood pressure, sleep quality, and anxiety levels—are as accurate as standard medical equipment when used on patients waiting for disc herniation surgery. It will involve 60 adults who are scheduled for surgery and are willing to wear a smartwatch overnight. The goal is to validate whether this common wearable technology could be a useful tool for monitoring patients before an operation.
