This study tracked the smartphone habits of 171 adolescents and young adults to understand different screen-use patterns, from low to excessive. Participants installed an app that recorded their daily phone use and filled out surveys about sleep, mood, and motivation. The goal was to see how screen time relates to health and well-being, and to identify what makes someone an excessive user.
