Free nicotine patches sent to phones: can an app double quit rates?

NCT ID NCT06811038

Summary

This study aims to see if adding free nicotine patches and gum to a smartphone quit-smoking app helps Hispanic adults quit cigarettes better than the app alone. About 850 participants will use the iCanQuit app for a year; half will also receive nicotine replacement therapy delivered to their home. Researchers will measure who successfully quits smoking for 30 days or more after one year.
