Phone app aims to guide Moms-to-Be to healthier pregnancies
NCT ID NCT04028843
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone-based coaching program could help low-income pregnant women gain a healthy amount of weight. It involved 351 women in Louisiana's WIC program, who were randomly assigned to either use the app or receive standard care. The goal was to prevent excessive or insufficient weight gain, which can lead to health problems for both mother and baby.
