Smart textile sensors put to the test for heart and lung monitoring
NCT ID NCT05473702
First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested a wearable smart textile sensor system that can monitor heart signals, breathing, heart sounds, and movement. 334 healthy adults and people with high blood pressure or on dialysis wore the sensor alongside standard medical devices to see how well it worked. The goal was to check if the smart fabric could reliably track health data, not to treat any condition.
