Teaching artificial limbs to 'Think Ahead' on stairs
NCT ID NCT04030650
Summary
This study aims to understand how people with leg amputations prepare to walk on slopes and stairs. Researchers will use machine learning to analyze walking patterns in 70 participants, including healthy volunteers and amputees. The goal is to gather data to eventually create a sensor system that allows a prosthetic leg to adjust *before* the user encounters an obstacle, making movement safer and easier.
