Smart needle aims to make nerve blocks safer and more comfortable
NCT ID NCT07302997
Summary
This study is testing a new 'smart needle' device that monitors injection pressure in real time during nerve block anesthesia for hand or arm surgery. Researchers want to see if this device helps maintain safe pressure levels and improves the overall anesthesia experience for patients. The study involves 34 adults undergoing elective surgery below the elbow who will receive either the smart needle system or standard care.
