Summary

This study looked at whether using a smart grip device for forearm exercises helps patients with a new arteriovenous fistula (a connection made for dialysis) improve blood vessel function and hand strength. 52 adults with advanced kidney disease who had their first fistula surgery took part. The goal was to see if the device made it easier for patients to stick with their exercises and get better results.
