Smart grip aims to make vital arm exercises easier for dialysis patients

NCT ID NCT05686200

Summary

This study tested if using a smart grip device could help patients stick with important forearm exercises after surgery to create a dialysis access point (arteriovenous fistula). The exercises are meant to improve blood flow in the new access and increase hand grip strength. Researchers enrolled 52 patients to see if the device improved both their physical results and their commitment to doing the exercises regularly.
