Gloves that 'Feel' surgery could train next generation of brain doctors

NCT ID NCT07372638

Not yet recruiting Knowledge-focused Sponsor: NHS Lothian Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing special surgical gloves with built-in sensors. The goal is to see if these 'smart gloves' can measure the forces surgeons use during a simulated procedure to treat a brain aneurysm. Researchers will compare the force measurements from expert surgeons to those in training to see if the data can help distinguish skill levels and potentially improve training methods.
