Smart crutches aim to speed bone healing with personalized weight plans

Summary
This study is testing whether smart crutch tips that provide personalized weight-bearing instructions can help people recover faster from a broken shin bone (tibia) after surgery. Researchers will compare standard recovery advice to personalized plans created using CT scans and computer modeling. Participants will use the smart crutches for up to 24 weeks while following specific walking routines with real-time feedback.
