Tiny sensor, big hope: new catheter designed for tiniest preemies
NCT ID NCT05427929
First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a new, smaller sensor for extremely premature babies (under 1000 grams) who need breathing help. The sensor measures the baby's own breathing signals to guide the ventilator. The goal is to see if the new design works as well as the current one while improving feeding tube placement. Ten babies already on this type of breathing support will take part.
