First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a smaller breathing tube during surgery can lower the chance of a sore throat afterward. It involves 246 women having surgery with general anesthesia. Half will get a standard-size tube, and half a smaller one, and researchers will check for sore throat and hoarseness up to 24 hours after surgery.
