Can a smaller nutrient dose keep babies healthy? new study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07451951
First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether a small-quantity nutrient supplement works as well as the standard medium-quantity version to prevent undernutrition in children aged 6 to 12 months. About 980 babies from low-resource communities in Pakistan will receive one of the two supplements daily for 6 months. Researchers will measure growth and anemia to see if the smaller dose is just as effective.
