NCT ID NCT02346435

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study is comparing two approaches for managing small kidney tumors: active surveillance (watchful waiting with regular scans) versus immediate surgery or other treatment. Researchers want to see if carefully monitoring these small growths is as safe and effective as treating them right away. The study will follow 600 adults with small kidney masses for 5 years to track survival and quality of life.
